We are going to be talking about the different types of engagement rings, the price of engagement rings, how much a wedding ring should cost, what you should take into consideration when buying one, the size of the ring, such as the size 4 engagement rings etc. And you thought that engagement was easy…
Size 4 engagement rings – the 4 Cs
When it comes to buying an engagement ring of any size, including the size 4 engagement rings, there is one rule that you should never forget: the four Cs rule. The four Cs stand for cut, clarity, color and of course, carats. What makes a diamond very valuable is its cut. The cut of the diamond gives its shape and beauty, which also determines its price. As you may know, the round cut is the most common shape of diamond, but engagement rings can also be cut in the shape of marquise, pear, princes, oval and of course, heart shape. The next C stands for color. The rarest, thus, more valuable color is the white. The colorless diamonds are graded as “D” diamonds. Diamonds goes up to “Z”. In between, diamonds are characterized by different color tones. The diamonds with distinct colors and strong shades are very rare and extremely expensive. The next C is for clarity. An experienced jeweler can easily determine the clarity of a diamond, but this is really difficult for an inexperienced and untrained eye. What you should be looking for is a diamond graded SI 1 (which means slightly included) or higher grade (the Internally Flawless class is the most expensive, while the cheapest is the Imperfect 3). The final C is for carat. Carats represent the weight and the size of a diamond. One carat is equal to 0.2 gm. Each carat is divided into 100 smaller entities which are called points. If you are looking for a decent engagement ring, then a diamond between half a carat and one carat is just fine.
Size 4 engagement rings – how much should you spend?
There is also a fifth C, which is obviously the cost. The amount you will spend on the engagement ring depends on your incomes and personal preferences, and of course, the character of the woman you love. You will probably hear that you should buy an engagement ring that is worth at least two monthly salaries, but we assure you that the price of the engagement ring is a purely personal matter. A more expensive ring means more worries, since you will have to think about insurance and premiums. However, on the other hand, the look of your fiancée when she looks at her ring is surely priceless. When it comes to buying size 4 engagement rings, you can buy your engagement ring at the local jewelry, or you can check out the prices at online jewelry stores, which often offer excellent deals.
Buying size 4 engagement rings – negotiate
If you are buying size 4 engagement rings, then don’t be afraid to negotiate with the jeweler. You may not be used to it, but trust us – negotiating may sometimes help you get a great engagement ring with a large discount off the initial price!
